Charlie Allison is a writer, researcher, and editor with published works in PodCastle, Devilfish Review, and the Sea Lion Press blog. He is a manuscript reader for Lanternfish Press and a fiction judge at NYCMidnight Fiction Contests. He is presently working on a book on the life and times of Nestor Makhno, the anarcho-communist resistance fighter during and after the Russian Civil War.
He graduated from Arcadia University's Creative Writing Program with an MFA in 2018 and was a Fulbright Scholarship Finalist for Mongolia in 2020. He lives in Philadelphia with his cat, who has the personality of the late Nikita Khrushchev, and the occasional good idea.
Charlie can be found online at charlie-allison.com, as can his historical storytelling videos and blogs, which include series devoted to Venice’s slide into oligarchy and the Russian Civil War. He can be found on twitter at @ResearchAtoZ. He knows that he isn’t as clever as he thinks he is and really should leave the bio-writing to the professionals.
