Leah Bobet is the author of Above (Arthur A. Levine Books/Scholastic, 2012), an Andre Norton Award- and Aurora Award-nominated young adult urban fantasy novel, and An Inheritance of Ashes (Clarion/Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Scholastic Canada, 2015), winner of the Prix Aurora Award, Sunburst Award, and Copper Cylinder Award, and an Ontario Library Association Best Bets book. She is an urbanist, linguist, and former independent bookseller.

As an editor, she has edited poetry for Reckoning, edited and published Ideomancer Speculative Fiction, and is the resident short fiction editor at the Online Writing Workshop for Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. Her criticism and books journalism appears in Publishers Weekly, CAROUSEL Magazine, and Quill & Quire. She has also written for speculative web serial Shadow Unit.

She is the author of a wide range of short fiction, which has been reprinted in several Year's Best anthologies: "Stay," in The Best Horror of the Year, Vol. 4 (ed.
