Terri Bruce has been making up stories for as long as she can remember. Like Anne Shirley, she prefers to make people cry rather than laugh but is happy if she can do either. She produces strange, hard-to-classify fantasy and science fiction stories from Downeast Maine, where she lives with her husband and various cats. She is the author of the paranormal/contemporary fantasy Afterlife series from Mictlan Press, which includes Hereafter (2012), Thereafter (2013), and Whereafter (2016); and of several science fiction and fantasy short stories, including "Welcome to OASIS" (in Dear Robot: An Anthology of Epistolary Science Fiction, ed. Jacobson; CreateSpace, 2015), "The Wishing Well" (in It's Come to Our Attention, ed. Rew; Third Flatiron Press, 2016), "Death and the Horse" (in Painful Lies, Beautiful Truths, ed. Newman; Lefthand Publishers, 2017), "The Lady and the Unicorn" (in Fell Beasts and Fair, ed. Brightley; Spring Song Press, 2018), and "Stone Baby" (in American Gothic Short Stories, ed. Elbert; Flame Tree Press, 2019). Visit her on the web at www.terribruce.net.
