Wendy Van Camp is a speculative poet, author, and pen and ink illustrator, and a two-time Elgin Award finalist for her speculative poetry. Her debut novelette, The Curate's Brother: A Jane Austen Variation of Persuasion (self-published, 2015) will be followed by a novel-length sequel, Christmas in Kellynch, this November. She is also working on the science fiction Steampunk Wonderland trilogy.
Her poetry collection The Planets: a scifaiku poetry collection (self-published, 2019) was an Elgin Award finalist twice. Another collection, Time and Space: a speculative poetry collection, is in progress. She was the editor of Eccentric Orbits 2 (Speculative Poetry, Dimensionfold Publishing, 2021).
Wendy's short fiction and poetry has appeared in venues such as the first and second volumes of Eccentric Orbits: An Anthology of Science Fiction Poetry (Dimensionfold Publishing, 2020 and 2021), the latter of which she also edited; in the Orange County Science Fiction Society's Quantum Visions series of chapbooks; and in periodicals such as Far Horizons Magazine, The Starlight Emporium Magazine, Lit Up Magazine (Medium-based), The Junction (Medium-based), Sci-Fi Shorts (Medium-based).
Wendy is a 2017 graduate of the Ad Astra Speculative Fiction Writing Workshop. She is a member of the Codex Writers' Group, The Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association, and The Southern California Writers Association.
