Connie Wilkins began writing fantasy and science fiction short stories, her first love, long ago, becoming a member of SFWA and intending to be ever faithful to the genre. When she happened across a call for submissions to an anthology of lesbian erotica, it seemed like a brief fling, a one-time affair. She'd recently published a few stories for middle-grade readers and intended to do more, so she switched to a pen name, Sacchi Green, for the erotica. But the erotic side of the force seduced her, and for twenty years now Sacchi has been getting much more milage than Connie.

She's published scores of short stories and edited 17 anthologies, plus two volumes of her own work. Two of the anthologies won Lambda Literary Awards, and nine of her books (including one of her collections) have been Lambda finalists. Only two of those, though, have been speculative fiction: Heiresses of Russ 2012: The Year's Best Lesbian Speculative Fiction (Lethe Press, 2012) as Connie Wilkins, and Witches, Princesses, and Women at Arms: Erotic Lesbian Fairy Tales (Cleis Press, 2017) as Sacchi Green. Connie also edited Time Well Bent: Queer Alternative Histories (Lethe Press, 2009).

About a quarter of the stories in each of Sacchi's two collections are also speculative fiction—four in A Ride to Remember and Other Erotic Tales (Lethe Press, 2011) and five in Wild Rides and Other Lesbian Erotic Adventures (Dirt Road Books, 2019). Her only novel so far is Shadow Hand: the Superheroine Collection Book 4 (Ylva Press, 2018).

Confusing, right? Sometimes even she forgets which name goes with which story or book. For a clearer sense of what she writes, check out her blog at, where she posts many free stories. And visit her at
